Partners Brendan P. Matthews, Ryan S. MacGillis, and Attorney Thomas C. Sucevic from MacGillis Law Group, LLC recently attended the 2024 WALTS Conference in Madison, hosted by the Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin. Brendan Matthews led a workshop on union leadership essentials, Ryan MacGillis shared negotiation strategies for fiscal crises, and Thomas Sucevic conducted an interactive session on handling complex cases. The conference allowed MacGillis Law Group to strengthen ties with state leaders and reaffirm their commitment to supporting Wisconsin firefighters.
We were proud to sponsor the 24th Annual Green Bay Fraternal Order of Police Golf Outing. This event raised essential funds for the Wisconsin Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) and the Green Bay FOP Officer Distress Fund, both of which provide vital support to the families of fallen officers and offer assistance to officers facing personal crises. Our firm is committed to standing with the Green Bay FOP in their mission to support law enforcement and their families during challenging times."
We proudly supported the "Brat With A Cop" event at Sherman Park. This community gathering brought together officers from the Milwaukee Police Department and Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, who cooked and served brats, hot dogs, and ice cream to attendees. We were honored to sponsor this event, distribute giveaways, and connect with community members in a meaningful way. The day featured perfect weather, great community engagement, and valuable interactions with local law enforcement.
We were honored to sponsor the Jay Balchunas Memorial Golf Tournament, celebrating the life and service of Wisconsin DCI Special Agent and DEA Task Force Officer Jay Balchunas. Jay served as a Milwaukee Police Officer, Marquette University Public Safety Officer, and New Berlin volunteer Firefighter Lieutenant. This tournament is a meaningful tribute to his bravery, and we’re proud to support it.
Thank you to all who participated.
We were proud to support the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police as they provide food service for officers during the RNC, serving meals to 500-700 officers each time. We deeply value the dedication of our law enforcement and first responders and are committed to standing by them in times of need.
We had an amazing time at the First Responders Fest, where we celebrated and gave back to the heroes who protect our community every day. We are proud to support this important event, which honors the dedication and sacrifice of our first responders. We look forward to continuing our support for those who keep us safe
